We use all of this equipment in our own puppy nursery and love the quality.  There are lesser quality elastrators on the market that are flimsy and not recommended for this delicate work.  Save over purchasing items separately.

NOTE:  Mendwell is recommended to accelerate healthy skin repair and reduce scarring. It is an all-natural therapeutic grade essential oil blend alternative to traditional antibiotics and antifungals and can be used for healthy skin repair for the entire family including animals and humans.  In our practice we see wounds healing in about half the normal time and with significantly less scarring.  (Can be purchased separately.  Also, a Deluxe Tail Docking/Dewclaw Removal Kit is also available that includes Mendwell at a discounted price.)

SMALL BREEDS:  We have gotten a lot of positive feedback from kitten breeders and small breed dog breeders and it appears that this Kit is appropriate for them as well. The bands are 1/8” diameter and have been used successfully on very tiny tails as well as on large breed tails.

If you are whelping puppies, you might want to add more forceps to your order so that you can clamp the umbilical cord in two places when the placenta is not yet delivered - cut between and keep the cord from going back inside while you clean the puppy. Clamp at 90 degree angle to bitch so she isn't injured by the forceps. This can help prevent umbilical hernia.  I like to have several of both sizes available in my whelping kit in case I have puppies born back to back.

Perfect for first timers!
I highly recommend this Tail Docking/Dewclaw Removal Kit. I was scared to do tail docking myself until I found this kit. It is simple and easy, perfect for first timers like me and less stress on the puppies too.

Awesome After Care Help
I can not begin to describe the amount of support Paula has offered me, throughout this whole process. She is very careful about the directions she gives, and follows up on your progress. This kit is perfect for the first time user or the professional! This was the first time I have ever banded, having the right tools, and the right person to help made all the difference. I could not have done it with out you Paula. Thank you so very much :)

Thank You
I can't Thank Paula enough for getting my kit to me in time. I wanted to do my own tails and dew claws and not stress out my girl. I knew she was going to have a big litter and being a first time mom didn't want to stress her by packing everyone up and taking them to the vets. The process of banding was so easy and pain free to the puppys and momma didn't even care. I would recommend this process to all breeders who have tails and dew claws. Paula's kit is wonderful.

Your VIP Customer for Life!
I got busy the past two weeks and I wanted to Thank you so much for your counseling me in banding my pups tails and dewclawing them. All went too well. More easy than I thought it would be. I actually to prevent pain to the pups iced their dewclaws and tails before the procedures. The hour after when it wore off they started to act uncomfortable and cry but after eating they soon forgot. The tails look just wonderful too. I recommend all people do the tails your way. Thanks again. I was so nervous about these procedures but they seemed to be quite easy. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Your VIP customer for life. Marlene Reyna
