Dog pregnancy test

The test is very easy as long as you follow instructions. We found pricking the upper lip closer to the nose drew more blood. The results are also easy to read. 1 line not pregnant 2 lines pregnant. It took a couple of minutes for the strip to saturate with the blood solution after about 5 minutes the control line appears. I found it takes 12-15 minutes for the 2nd line to appear. We did 3 tests, the 1st test didn't have enough liquid to process and was replaced by the breeder store. The 2nd test the female was due within a week and was extremely clear. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. The video online made it look super easy. And it is as long as you have a girl tolerant of these sort of shaninagans. My was not, then she did not seem to want to give me any blood, selfish girl. Don't get me wrong the lancet worked perfect, my girl was not into blood letting. Anyhow we did get enough blood on the swab finally, gave it a swirl or 5 into the buffer tube, well the swab took all of the buffer up into the swab, I did think that there was not much in the tube but didnt think to photograph that part of it . There was not as much as there was in the video from Bellylabs. We were offered a new test but declined because this girl is due anytime now. So thank you for the offer. We were able to get just enough into the test cartridge for the T line to show, there is a picture below. I would use this test if in doubt either way, eliminating an unneeded trip for an ultrasound just for a yes or no. Saving the US for a confirmation of the preganancy and an early check. I would purchase again. I believe it can be a very useful tool.

We used the "Bellylabs Pregnancy Test" on our Boxer girl. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and that makes taking the test very simple. I was afraid to hurt our girl to be able to draw the blood, but that wasn't a problem at all. The lancet worked perfectly, and we got enough blood in the first pinch to proceed with a good test. The only thing that we recommend is that the instructions mention a recommendation that 2 persons to do this test (although, not required). What we learned is that you if you are doing this test by yourself, make sure that you unpacked all the items before and place them on the table, but if you have someone to help you, they can unpack the items and hand them to you. The most difficult part of the test is to draw and collect the blood. Once that is done, the next steps are relatively easy. The next step was to roll the swab in the buffer tube, break the swab on the pre-cut break point, drop it into the tube of liquid, close the lid, and wait for a minute for the reaction to take place. After that minute, you open the smaller lid on the other side of the tube and drop 2 drops of liquid into the cassette hole and wait 10 to 15 minutes for reading. We got our reading right at the 10-minute mark and the result was very clear. The result showed that our girl was indeed pregnant and that was confirmed at a later date by an ultrasound with our vet. It is nice to have the capability to be able to do a pregnancy test on our girls without the need to pay the most expensive ultrasound or x-ray.

I used the Bellylabs Dog Pregnancy test on my girl Flirt (Boston Terrier). This test was simple to do and my girl stood there like a trooper when I collected the blood on the swab. I made sure to get plenty of blood per the instructions. Instructions were simple enough to do. And test did show she is pregnant. The line that confirms was a bit light but the Ultrasound shows only 1-2 babies so maybe that is why. Product #296
