Dog breeders know that early stimulation is one of the foundations of well-adjusted puppies. Give your puppies a sturdy PVC Gym to play on when you aren't with them. Hang your favorite toys from the bars. Very young puppies will put their heads on the gym bars, and eventually will climb on and around the bars to play and get to toys for tug-of-war games. They will swat at toys and gnaw on teething toys hung from the bars. Older puppies will do the military crawl under and over the bars, chasing and playing hide n seek with one another.
You can hang toys from the bars at various levels so that puppies have access out of the dreaded "poop zone". Less toy washing required when they are off the floor. Use your imagination to create a unique play environment around the Gym. Use ropes, squeaky toys, and various textured toys for variety, changing periodically. (I get many of mine at the dollar store, so it's inexpensive to load up toys on the Gym.)
