FADING PUPPY REMEDY
What is a fading puppy?
Fading Puppy Syndrome is often defined as an apparently normal newborn which fails to thrive and dies within the first two weeks of life. It may also include puppies who fail to gain weight at the same rate as siblings, with decreased activity or inability or refusal to suckle, or exhibiting a high pitched cry called "seagulling". It often progresses to lethargy, loss of tone, and death if not treated immediately.
According to Dr. Susan Whittakerhill, 9.23 to 26% of all whelps suffer from neonatal death. 50% of those deaths are attributed to fading puppy syndrome. Little research has been done on this subject, but many breeders instantly recognize the typical symptoms of this heartbreaking condition and struggle to save these babies.
An early version of this remedy was
developed by Richard Croft many decades ago.
After trying many combinations, a recipe was developed by The Dog Breeder Store starting in 2015 that has been
used extensively in Europe and the United States. It
has been used successfully on tens of thousands of puppies, kittens, queens and
dams.
During 2015-2023, improvements were made to this formula due to the advancements in holistic and alternative therapies including flower essences, crystal energies and additional homeopathics. We retired that version in 2023 to work on improvements to the formula to modernize it for wider use.
In mid-2023, The Dog Breeder Store worked with an FDA licensed Pharmacy to make improvements in efficacy and shelf life.
