The Premium Kit adds 2 very important Young Living Essential Oil blends that no pet owner should be without! Standard Kit contains Mendwell, but not T-Away for trauma support. Economy kit contains no Essential Oil blends.
Mendwell is highly recommended to accelerate healthy skin repair and reduce scarring. It is an all-natural therapeutic grade essential oil blend alternative to traditional antibiotics and antifungals. Mendwell can be used for
healthy skin repair for the entire family including animals and humans. In our practice we see wounds healing in
about half the normal time and with significantly less scarring.
T-Away was formulated by D. Gary Young to assist with reduction of trauma associated with injury/wounds in animals. This amazing essential oil blend is safe for use with neonates. Apply a drop to spine any time you want to help remove trauma from your dog's body.

Note regarding the use of Hydrogen Peroxide for aftercare: It is a commonly held belief, backed by some studies, that hydrogen peroxide is a useful wound cleanser. However, more recent studies have found hydrogen peroxide to be toxic, or deadly, to cells otherwise involved in healing. A study published in the Journal of Athletic Training suggests using a saline solution instead. I have personally found that Mendwell accelerates the healing process beyond that of saline and reduces scarring as well.
If you are whelping puppies, you might want to add forceps to your order so that you can clamp the umbilical cord in two places when the placenta is not yet delivered - cut between and keep the cord from going back inside while you clean the puppy. Clamp at 90 degree angle to bitch so she isn't injured by the forceps. This can help prevent umbilical hernia. We like to have several of both sizes available in my whelping kit in case we have puppies born back to back.
